Arachibutyrophobia

Although it sounds strange to many people, arachibutyrophobia is a devastating fear for some people. The phobia is actually the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of one's mouth. The fear is often rooted in a more generalized phobia of choking or of sticky textures, but it can also occur alone.

Like all phobias, arachibutyrophobia varies in severity from sufferer to sufferer. Some people are able to consume small quantities of peanut butter, perhaps as a dip for vegetables, while others are afraid to try peanut butter at all. In some cases, the fear extends to other peanut products, from peanut butter ice cream to peanut sauces.

Cathisophobia

Cathisophobia (sometimes spelled with a ‘k’) is a terror of sitting down. This disorder can be sparked off by a particularly nasty case of hemorrhoids but in some serious cases it can be due to physical abuse relating to sitting on sharp or painful objects. Sometimes, the sitting fear is due to some punishment in the school days, or it may be an indication of some other phobia like sitting in front of elite and influential people. Cathisophobia is characterized by sweating, heavy or short breathe, and anxiety.

Automatonophobia

Automatonophobia is the fear of anything that falsely represents a sentient being. This includes, but is not limited to, ventriloquist dummies, animatronic creatures, and wax statues. This fear can manifest itself in numerous ways; every individual who suffers from the fear being different.Since inanimate objects do not pose any real harm to people, this fear is considered to be irrational.

Killer toys films like Chucky in the Child's Play series, Magic, Devil Doll, Twilight Zone, and Dead of Night are all movies that sufferers of automatonophobia should avoid, especially if their fear is primarily of ventriloquist dummies.

The fear of long words

There are a lot of interesting and random phopias out there. Dendrophobia is the fear of trees. Blennophobia is the fear of slime. And neophobia is the fear of anything new. However, the fear of long words may have the most ironic (and cruelest name).Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. So let’s say you do have this phobia. You’d be terrify to name your ailment. Kind of a conundrum.

Anatidaephobia

Anatidaephobia is the fear that somewhere in the world there is a duck watching you.

Anatidaephobia is the pervasive, irrational fear that, somewhere in the world, a duck is watching you. The person believes that no matter where they are or what they are doing, a duck is watching them.
The people who suffer from this phobia have suffered some sort of trauma in their lives, likely when he or she was a child. This trauma probably had to do with a duck or some sort of related water fowl, like a goose. Perhaps the person was attacked by one of these animals.
Some of the symptoms of this phobia include an anxiety or panic attack. This results in a dry mouth, shortness of breath, muscle tension, hyperventilation, etc.
